Inter-District 2024

Interdistrict is one of the oldest and most prestigious tennis competitions in Australia, with the first competition being held in 1921.

Nowadays the competition continues with Clubs and Associations throughout Metropolitan Sydney and surrounding areas competing on a home and away basis for the 15 Cups and the Interdistrict Competition Championship Award.

Tennis Macarthur is one of the strongest Associations competing in the Competition, having won the Interdistrict Competition Championship Award (McKerihan Shield) every year between 2006 and 2022. The McKerihan Shielf is awarded to the Association with the highest number of points earned during the entire Interdistrict season each.

Playing dates for the 2024 Competition:

Seniors:

6 Team Divisions (dependent on entries) 10 Matches + Semi's + Finals

• June - 30th
• July - 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
• August - 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th 
• September - 8th, SF - 15th, Finals - 22nd

or

4 Team Divisions (dependent on entries) 9 Matches - No Semi's - Top 2 teams to final

• July - 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
• August - 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th
• September - 8th, 15th, Finals 22nd

Opens/Juniors:

• July - 28th
• August - 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th 
• September - 8th, SF - 15th, Finals 22nd

All Cups:

• Semi-finals: Sunday 15th Sept, 2024, Venue TBA
• Finals: Sunday 22nd Sept, 2024 at Tennis Macarthur
