About Us

Southern Districts Tennis Association Inc (The Association) was established in 1926 and now operates in the Macarthur area. In 2016 the Association adopted a new trading name, Tennis Macarthur and now trades and is promoted under this name.

The Association caters for players of all levels and ages, facilitating a range of both junior and senior competitions as well as hosting a number of Tennis NSW sanctioned ranking tournaments which attracts players nationally and internationally.

The Association has many talented juniors that travel both interstate and internationally. The depth of talent is quite remarkable and it is our focus to build and nurture this as much as possible. Players of Tennis Macarthur have proudly represented their club in many inter-club Challenge Cups, The NSW Hardcourt Interdistrict Competitions as well as state and national level tournaments.

Most recently a team of nearly 60 selected players represented Southern Districts in the annual Interdistrict competition that ran over a period of 12 weeks and involved travel to many other districts encompassing the Sydney Metropolitan area and regional areas from Horsnby to Kiama. In September 2019 Southern Districts were the proud recipients of the perpetual McKerihan Shield for the 14th consecutive year.
