Wests Tennis Scholarship Program

Tennis Macarthur and Wests Campbelltown (The Wests Tennis Sub-Committee) are proud to continue the Wests Tennis Scholarship Program. The program was established to provide financial assistant to junior tennis players who compete at a high standard.


Players who meet the following criteria are invited to submit an application:

  • The athlete is a current financial member of SDTA and has been so for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months
  • The athlete must participate in at least 2 events run by SDTA during the eligibility period (eg. Junior Comp, Tue Night, Wed Night, Thu Night)
  • The athlete must have nominated to represent SDTA in the most recent Interdistrict Competition and played more than 50% of matches playable
  • The athlete must be coached by a qualified coach (Tennis Australia approved):
  • The athlete must compete in at least 3 Australian Ranking Tournaments (OJT or AMT) in the past 12 months
  • The athlete must be committed to improving their Australian Ranking (ranking improvement will be dependent on current ranking and age and will be agreed upon by the sub-committee and athlete).
  • The athlete must make themselves available for SDTA for their Annual Open Day and make every effort to support and represent SDTA at events hosted by SDTA or where SDTA competes.


The eligibility period is normally 1 June to 31 May of each year. Applications must be submitted with appropriate supporting documents such as match results, tournament draws, ranking movements.
